§ 12.2. Railroad

At the present time Meriwether County is served by two lines of the Southern Railroad System and two lines of the Seaboard Railroad System. One line of the Southern Railroad System provides service from Greenville south to Durand to Columbus, Georgia; while the second Southern Line serves the Cities of Woodbury and Warm Springs in the southeastern part of Meriwether County. One line of the Seaboard System runs through the eastern part of the county in a north-south direction and passes through the Cities of Woodbury and Manchester. The second Seaboard Line runs through the southwestern section of the county and passes through the Cities of Durand, Warm Springs, and Manchester.
