Transportation Planning is the prediction and directional control of patterns of growth and change in an area related to that area's transportation system. Transportation Planning includes long-rate strategies that could improve transportation systems and related land uses to benefit the people by increasing mobility and accessibility.
Transportation Planning is a very vital part of a Future Land Use Plan. The allocation of space for future land use and reuse must be reviewed in relation to an efficient transportation network.
